If you recall, from my March 28th blog post, we were experiencing water difficulties. We had a temporary respite with a new well pump and motor and two new pressurized tanks. Temporary is the key word: three days. Then our water output decreased to <1 gallon per minute. When the well level dropped too low, the PumpTek (monitors amperage) would shut off the well until the water level raised.
In the interim, we have lived a camping lifestyle.
And I have been watering the garden by hand, with a 2-gallon watering can, one can at a time. Thankful for our water collection barrels!
Last week, the Well Company began a well re-drilling process. On Thursday, they drilled from 408 ft to 702 ft. Nada. On Friday, they reached 1002 ft, averaging 1/3 gallon per minute flow. Today, Monday, they resumed. Waiting…
Time will tell. Six homes depend on this single well for water.
