Here we are, nearing a second February under the dominion of COVID, and still, the virus marches on.

Andre Uhlrich continues to monitor the progress and impact of the novel virus in his Pandemic Insights. He shares stories of scientific import as well as the emotional toll we have all experienced.

As a retired Trauma Surgeon and ICU doctor, I’ve personally kept tabs on COVID-19. Both friends and family have come down with the disease, fortunately, none fatally.

We’ve done the dance, faithfully worn the muzzles, socially distanced and spent a year of holidays apart from those dear to us.

Today we received our second Modern vaccine dose. Close family will be fully vaccinated in the near future. We yearn for the time when we can once more join together.
